SUNDAY gave the royal family plenty of reasons to celebrate with Harry and Meghan marking their first anniversary together and Kate celebrating the completion of her Chelsea Flower Show garden.
However, the Cambridges have been accused of “one-upmanship” after they shared an intimate Instagram post shortly after the Sussexes did the same.
On their Instagram account Sussex Royal, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex shared a series of unseen pictures from their wedding day on May 19 last year.
And then the same evening three new photos were posted on the Kensington Royal account of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their three children in a rare series of off-duty snaps as they explored Kate’s garden.
It just so happened that the launch of Kate’s plot and the Sussexes anniversary fell on the same day, but some have accused the couples of trying to "out do" one another amid rumours of a “royal rift.”
According to the Express a royal watcher said: “It was a case of anything you can do, we can do better.”
The Express reports that aides are concerned about diary “clashes” and said in this instance “our diary planning could have been better.”
Sources reportedly acknowledged to the paper that “there have been days in the past few weeks when the left hand did not know what the right hand was doing.”
Fabulous Digital has contacted the palace for a comment.
Photos from Harry and Meghan’s wedding were shared on Sunday morning and featured never before seen snaps from the couple’s big day including the groom “thumbing a lift” and an intimate moment between the bride and her mother.
And yesterday evening saw three new photos of the Cambridge family shared on their account after their visit to Kate’s Back to Nature garden at Chelsea, which opens to the public today.
The heart-warming snaps, saw doting parents Kate and William playing with children Charlotte, four, and Louis, one, on a rope swing as the duchess unveils her Back to Nature garden, where their youngest son was seen taking his first steps.
The pictures were taken yesterday afternoon by photographer Matt Porteous. Kate returned to the garden today to show the Queen around.
The garden, which the Duchess has co-designed, is at the forefront of Kate’s lifelong work on early child development and her mission to support efforts that give every child the best possible start in life.
In other royal news Kate's £89 & Other Stories dress is being flogged on eBay for almost five times the price despite still being in stock.
And fans were quick to point out that Kate was missing from the Sussex's anniversary post.
