The battle of the ABC shows started with Kelly Ripa slamming The Bachelor and The Bachelorette saying it “disgusts” her because she hates seeing women fight with each other over a man. This set off a fire storm of conflict (sort of). The producer of the show Mike Fleiss checked Kelly on Twitter and so did Bachelor host Chris Harrison. Well don’t worry Kelly, because you have people on your side, too. Specifically one of the highest paid actresses on network television, Grey’s Anatomy‘s Head Bitch: Ellen Pompeo.

Ellen will challenge you to a Crenshaw-street fight on Twitter and call out a lack of diversity in your company while on set for your company. And she kept the same energy when she noticed that Mike and Chris had come for Kelly. Ellen tweeted that she agreed with Kelly and she took it one step further and called out the racism of the show too and referenced how The Bachelor ain’t the only show on ABC making them a dollar:

Hear that? She a “savage”. She’s about to get your numbers and text you with a time to meet her on the corner of Crenshaw and Slauson.

But don’t worry, from a professional standpoint this issue will probably be wrapped up soon. This isn’t going to get  messy and out of hand because ABC is already doing damage control by having bachelorette Hannah Brown talk to Kelly about how great the show is.

Us Weekly reports that current Bachelorette Hannah appeared on Live! With Kelly And Ryan today and told them that she had nothing but feminist awakenings while on the show, apparently. She said:

“Well I wanna start back on what you said because, like you, I didn’t really follow the show, wasn’t a big fan, but being a part of the show–it’s not women fighting against each other. Really, some of my best friends came from the show and we’re really supportive–and you know, when you have a group of 30 people together there’s going to be people who don’t like each other–that’s just simple facts, but ultimately it was one of the most empowering things I’ve ever done because I had to push myself and grow as an individual and I did, and I think that’s why I decided that I wanted to be the bachelorette.”

Now Kelly is eating this up, she’s so willing to learn and grow and–what’s another The Bachelor buzzword? …Oh yeah!–she’s on a journey to accept The Bachelorette. Kelly is very willing to hear what the Bachelorette has to say and is learning about it… which is weird… because she’s heard this shit before. This is not the first time a Bachelor or Bachelorette has been on her show. Here she is interviewing the Bachelorette from two seasons ago, Jojo Fletcher:

So I guess Kelly forgot that she didn’t have a problem with the show and actually likes it and promotes it like clockwork every season. Oops! But after speaking with Hannah, there’s no way she can still think the show has a feminism problem. Hannah made friends on the show! Could she do that if the idea that 30 women vying for one man’s attention is a damaging thing to put out into society? No! Those two things are completely related! So clearly the show has not one ounce of sexism in it… racism and homophobia on the other hand…
