Fans questioned why Prince Harry and Markle did not pose for photos after his birth in May, instead opting to share a select number of pics on social media. They also faced backlash for keeping Archie Harrison’s christening private and not revealing the identity of his godparents – something many fans would love to know.
According to Express, author Angela Levin questioned the decisionsin her book, Harry: A Biography of a Prince, writing that Markle and Harryshould be more open because their charitable endeavors and trips around theworld are funded by the public.
“I think it was very wrong they hid baby Archie away. Theydidn’t let people appear at the christening, even one pressrepresentative,” she wrote. “I think it is wrong that they don’t saywho the godparents are. I think it was wrong they wouldn’t say where theywere.”
Levin added that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have nothing tohide. She understands why they want to live in private, but as members of theroyal family, their life of luxury and influence comes at a price.
