A FLORIDA woman is combing through the overgrown brush in the swamp area where Brian Laundrie's partial remains were found in the hopes of finding more bones belonging to the late fugitive.
The woman, whose identity has not been revealed, has reportedly spent five hours a day for the last 10 days scouring the Carlton Reserve where Laundrie's skeletal remains was found last month – after a more than a month-long manhunt for the only named person of interest in his fiance Gabby Petito's murder.
Footage of the woman's search was posted on the TikTok of someone under the username chroniclesofolivia.
She is seen in a video in a gray sleeveless shirt using a stick to sift through the high brush in the reserve.
Only a portion of Laundrie's remains were reportedly discovered on October 22 following his disappearance in September.
The TikTok account claims that half of Laundrie's remains were found by police, and implied that the other half still is out in the open in the brush – but people are not so quick to jump on that theory.
"How do you know that half his remains are not recovered? LE (law enforcement) didn't disclose," commented one user on one of the account's videos.
Others commented a litany of "whys" and "who cares" on her other videos detailing this woman's search.
However, the TikTok account, which boasts over 1.2 million subscribers, has piqued some sleuths' interests.
"All it takes is for her to find the other part of his skull," wrote one user on a video.
"It could be a big break in the case since the cause of death is inconclusive."
Others thanked the woman for continuing to search for Laundrie's remains when authorities have stopped.
"We're so glad she is able to do this," wrote one user.
Authorities said Laundrie's "compromised" human skull was found at the reserve and verified by dental records – but an autopsy was ruled "inconclusive".
"No manner or cause of death was determined, and the remains were sent to an anthropologist for further evaluation," Laundrie family attorney Steve Bertolino said last month.
An official cause of death has still not been determined.
