On July 26, 2023, Mace received some mixed reactions after getting 'intimate' with attendees at a prayer breakfast hosted by GOP presidential candidate Senator Tim Scott in the Palmetto State.

"When I woke up this morning at 7 — I was getting picked up at 7:45 — Patrick, my fiancé, tried to pull me by my waist over this morning in bed,” Mace recounted.

“And I was like, ‘No, baby, we don’t got time for that this morning. I gotta get to the prayer breakfast, and I gotta be on time. A little TMI."

She added: "He can wait. I’ll see him later tonight.”

What is Nancy Mace's political party?

Mace remains one of the most fiscally conservative members of the General Assembly.

She is the first Republican woman elected to Congress from South Carolina.

Mace is also one of the most pro-conservation lawmakers in the state, with a 100 percent rating from Conservation Voters of South Carolina.

Despite working on Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign, she quickly criticized the former president following the Capitol Protests in January 2021.
