POLICE have released CCTV images of a man they're hunting after a woman was sexually assaulted on a bus in broad daylight.

Officers urgently want to speak to the man after the horror unfolded during a morning city centre bus ride.

The assault happened in Birmingham on January 24.

Photos show a man wearing a dark top with a white stripe across it. He is also pictured carrying a royal blue coat.

The woman was riding on the No.97 service from Chelmsley Wood when she was attacked.

The bus had been heading towards Dale End.

West Midlands Police said: “Do you know who this is? We're investigating after a woman was sexually assaulted as she sat on a bus heading into Dale End in Birmingham city centre.

“The assault happened at around 11.20am on Tuesday, January 24 and investigators are working to identify the man in this image. If you know who he is, please contact us via Live Chat on our website or by calling 101 and quoting investigation number 20/121690/23.
