A UK ticket-holder won Tuesday night’s EuroMillions jackpot with a punter from France — so they’ll get £16.5million each.
The result means the lucky winner is now more than £4million richer than pop star Rita Ora.
Tuesday night's National Lottery EuroMillions winning numbers were 4, 9, 14, 21 and 27 – with the Lucky Stars 4 and 6.
Both players managed to match them all for a joint split of £33million, Camelot said.
The pair, currently unknown, will each have won overnight almost as much cash as Star Wars actor John Boyega, who has a reported £17million fortune.
Camelot’s Andy Carter said after the draw: “It’s great news for one UK winner who has scooped a share of the EuroMillions jackpot. Players are urged to check their tickets online to see if they are the latest big winner.”
However it was dwarfed by the anonymous ticket-holder who scooped £170million last October — making them richer than singer Ed Sheeran.
Earlier this month it emerged that a player in South Ayrshire has claimed a previous £58million EuroMillions jackpot.
However Lotto bosses will not pay out until the ticket is properly verified.
