TWO police officers have been rushed to hospital after being attacked with a weapon in Scotland.

The cops were in Wishaw, North Lanarkshire, when they were set upon last night.

A man has now been arrested as police launch their investigations.

One of the officers suffered a head injury.

The other officer suggested a serious hand injury in a blade attack, the BBC reported.

It comes after a police officer was attacked in Hackney, London, last week.

Shocking footage emerged of the assault, with three men and a 13-year-old boy charged.
