Thousands of people were evacuated from Birmingham Airport after a fire alarm rang out inside a pub in the terminal.
Passengers charged towards the emergency exits after alarms went off at The Factory bar at around 2pm today.
Crowds of people were pictured on the tarmac outside, while others were stuck on planes as fire crews were scrambled to the scene.

It is understood crowds were allowed back into the terminal building around two hours later at 4pm.
Passenger Emm tweeted: ‘Just about to leave and the fire alarm goes off at Birmingham airport evacuating the whole building, great start to the holiday.’

A Birmingham Airport spokesman told MailOnline: ‘A fire detector head alarmed in the Factory Bar. Passenger were evacuated, which is normal procedure.
‘Both Birmingham Airport and West Midlands Fire Service were on site. There is a small impact to flights, passengers are advised to check on the arrivals/departures page of our website.’
