Andrew Tate and his brother were led in to the Romanian prosecturor’s office as investigators ‘scoured their laptops, phones and tablets’ in an on-going sex trafficking probe.
The brothers were taken from the central detention center of the Capital Police, where they will be detained at least until February 27, to Romania’s anti-organised crime agency DIICOT for a series of computer searches, judicial sources told Romanian newspaper Gandul.
They are reportedly looking for information on the possible victims of the two Britons.
Andrew Tate, 36, and his brother Tristan, 34, were arrested in December on suspicion of human trafficking, rape and forming an organised crime group to exploit women.
Early this morning, they were brought to DIICOT to be present for a search of their laptops, phones and tablets. They did not stay longer than an hour, according to Romanian media reports.

Sources close to the investigation told Gandul that their videos and conversations with their two alleged accomplices – Georgiana Naghel and Luana Radu – are being sought, as well as conversations that were held with the alleged victims in the file.
The head of the bodyguards who guarded the house of the Tate brothers, Bogdan Stancu, is also expected at DIICOT, as he is currently a witness in the case.

The transcription and examination of all the downloaded materials will be ready in the next two months, judicial sources say.
Neither of the Tate brothers spoke to the media today.
On February 1, Andrew Tate lost his appeal against a decision to keep him in jail for 30 days on sex trafficking charges, meaning he will remain in custody until February 27.
Tate, 36, was arrested in December with his brother Tristan on suspicion of human trafficking, rape and forming an organised crime group to exploit women.
He appeared at the Bucharest court in the beginning of February with Tristan and two of their alleged female accomplices, former police officer Luana Radu and Georgiana Naghel, in a bid to appeal against a judge’s decision to extend their arrest a second time for 30 days.
All four lost their appeal and will be held for the full 30 days, said Ramona Bolla, a spokesperson for DIICOT.
Last month, a judge decided to extend their detention by 20 days due to the ‘particular dangerousness of the defendants’ and their capacity to identify victims ‘with an increased vulnerability, in search of better life opportunities.’
The decision came after Tate told the Romanian court he is ‘being held in custody to make me mentally ill’.
He claimed his detention was part of a ploy to make him succumb mentally.
As Tate was escorted from the Bucharest Court of Appeals with his brother and their two alleged female accomplices, he shouted at reporters: ‘You will find out the truth of this case soon’.
The notorious misogynist insisted there was ‘no evidence’ he exploited young girls and forced them to create pornographic content on webcams.
‘Ask them for evidence and they will give you none because it doesn’t exist,’ Tate shouted as he was escorted from the court into a police van. ‘You will find out the truth of this case soon.’

Who is Andrew Tate?
Andrew Tate rose to fame as a kickboxer in the 2000s, winning the British International Sport Karate Association cruiserweight championship in 2009, and an ISKA world title in 2011.
He later founded a self-described ‘webcam pimping’ company around this time with his brother, which he later admitted was a ‘scam’, using women to exploit customers for money.
Tate was removed from the Big Brother house after a week after footage emerged of him whipping and slapping an ex-girlfriend, which both later said was consensual.
Tate moved to Romania to live in a compound surrounded by armed guards in 2017. He was banned from Twitter for comments attributing ‘some responsibility’ to rape victims.
Prosecutors accuse him of moving women to Romania and using physical violence and mental coercion to force them to produce explicit materials to share and sell online.
Meanwhile, old clips of Andrew Tate became popular through TikTok in 2022 as he promoted his online ‘Hustler’s University’ – a paid online community claiming to help users to ‘get rich quick’.
In March 2022, Andrew Tate was accused of raping a woman he moved to Romania. Tate says the allegation was made up after he refused to buy her a house.
The brothers’ Romanian safehouse was raided in April 2022 after authorities believed two women were being held against their will. The Tates were eventually released but the investigation was reported ongoing.
Tate was restored to Twitter by Elon Musk, but soon after provoked a spat with Greta Thunberg and was shortly after arrested.
Romanian police held the brothers on preventive arrest from 30 December, extended on 20 January until 27 February.
The Tate brothers deny the accusations made against them.
