SUZANNE Morphew's sister has claimed the missing mom's husband, Barry, was abusive to his wife and would "overpower and intimidate people."

In an interview with CBS's 48 Hours, which aired Saturday, Melinda Moorman detailed texts that Suzanne sent to her just days before her disappearance on Mother's Day 2020.

Suzanne is presumed dead by police, but her body has never been found. Husband Barry faces a murder trial later this year, and has pleaded not guilty.

Melinda Moorman told 48 Hours that her sister told her in text messages that she was being abused by her husband and wanted to leave him, just days before she vanished.

"It was very lengthy. It was very powerful. It was very revealing," she said.

"Barry was very dominant in the relationship, and my sister was a very passive, gentle soul … he had … a great tendency to overpower, intimidate people to get what he wanted."

The text from Suzanne reads in part: "He's also been abusive emotionally and physically… I feel more angry now. Anger at what I've allowed."

Melinda said that says she often thinks about Barry, and urged him to share what he knows about her sister's disappearance.

"Please do the right thing, Barry," she pleaded in the 48 Hours episode.

"Please do the right thing."

Melinda also had a message for her sister's daughters, Mallory and Marcy.

"Mallory, Macy … Your mother would have laid down her life for you girls," Melinda said.

"She would never leave you. She would never forsake you. She loved you with her whole being."

MYSTERIOUS DISAPPEARANCE

Suzanne Morphew was last heard from on May 9, 2020, the day before Mother's Day.

She had allegedly gone for a bike ride and never returned.

A neighbor raised the alarm after Mallory and Macy were unable to contact their mother.

Barry had allegedly been staying in a Denver hotel 140 miles away the night before Suzanne vanished as he prepared for a landscaping job.

Her body has not been found and she is presumed dead.

A cause of death has not been revealed.

TEXTS TO HER FRIEND

Later in the 48 Hours episode, additional texts from Suzanne to a close friend from the months leading up to her disappearance were revealed, detailing more of the turmoil she was experiencing in her marriage.

"He won't speak of divorce," one text read.

"I feel no peace when he's here."

"I wouldn't feel safe alone with him."

'UNUSUAL PHONE ACTIVITY'

Both Suzanne and Barry had unusual activity detected on their cell phones on May 9, 2020, the day Suzanne was last heard from alive.

Suzanne had texted with her alleged lover, Jeff Libler, 59 times the day of her disappearance, phone records revealed. This was more than the norm for the two.

Suzanne also sent Liebler a selfie during that text conversation – her last known photo.

Barry also had unusual activity detected on his phone, which he attributed to chipmunk hunting around his property.

Multiple pings of his cell phone were detected on the perimeter of the $1.7million mansion he shared with Suzanne and their two adult daughters, Mallory and Macy Morphew.

But authorities believe Barry may have been chasing his wife instead.

'TRASH RUNS'

Barry claims he went to bed at 8pm the night Suzanne went missing, but his car data tells a different story according to investigators.

Data pulled from his truck's computer appears to reveal movement of his car on his property at 9:30pm, which contradicts what he told officials.

Car data from the next morning shows that Barry drove past the location where Suzanne's bike helmet was later found on his way to a work location.

On the way to the worksite, Barry pulled over at a bus stop, a hotel, a McDonalds, and a dumpster, disposing of trash at all locations, prosecutors have said, citing security footage and vehicle data.

Investigators have alleged that he could have been disposing of evidence within the area but in different places.

Barry claims he was working and that the trash disposal was just part of his job.

'NO WINNERS'

In an official report, authorities alleged that Barry hunted and controlled Suzanne "like he had hunted and controlled animals."

Barry denies all of the charges against him, and insists he has nothing to do with his wife's disappearance.

While he awaits trial, which is expected to begin in May, Suzanne's sister has a message.

"There are no winners in this story," she said in the episode.

"There are two families who are suffering deeply."
