In Killing Eve, the bold, eye-catching fashions are normally the preserve of Jodie Comer’s cold-hearted assassin Villanelle.

But off-screen, her co-star Sandra Oh has a dramatic sense of style all of her own – as these pictures reveal.

The 49-year-old actress ditched the dowdy clothes normally associated with her intelligence agent character Eve Polastri in favour of a £2,750 floral-print bomber jacket from Gucci.

She paired it with a pair of navy workwear trousers and brown suede Chelsea boots – £765 from Proenza Schouler– to blend in with other fashionistas on a shopping trip in trendy Notting Hill, West London, last Monday.

The Canadian-American star was joined by friends for a leisurely lunch near Portobello Road before they combed the rails of upmarket boutiques nearby. They then headed to the Electric House private members’ club.

‘They were chatting away happily, laughing and joking,’ said a bystander. ‘You couldn’t mistake her accent, it was really noticeable. And you couldn’t miss her outfit – it was really colourful and made her stand out from the people she was with.’

Ms Oh has been in London filming the fourth and final series of the hit drama. And it seems she could have taken fashion tips from the wardrobe department, which has often dressed Ms Comer’s psychopath in similar floral outfits, including a designer bomber jacket.

When the final eight episodes air on the BBC next year, viewers will want to see how new writer Laura Neal resolves the obsessive relationship between the assassin and the agent investigating her.

Some reports have suggested that Villanelle will deliver a final twist by transforming from an unhinged killer into a born-again Christian.
