Royal Navy sailor accused of pouring beer onto a female colleague’s chest and then licking it off is cleared of sexual assault
A Royal Navy sailor has been cleared of sexual assault against a female colleague.
Able Seaman Simon Moss had been accused of sexually assaulting a female colleague by pouring beer onto her chest and then licking it off after claiming she liked kinky sex.
The 24 year old sailor was this afternoon cleared of all three charges of sexual assault against his female colleague.
He remained unmoved as the not guilty verdicts were read out by the president of the military board.
The board deliberated for just 45 minutes before announcing their verdicts.
The court heard that Moss repeatedly told the woman she must like ‘rough’ and ‘kinky’ sex because she worked with ropes after other sailors had gone to bed at a naval base, the court heard.

Having initially been rejected after leaning in for a kiss, AB Moss then ‘poured beer’ onto her exposed breasts and proceeded to ‘lick’ the drink he had spilt, the court was told.
The female sailor, who cannot be named for legal reasons, said she ended the ordeal by kicking him in the privates after her pleas for him to stop were ignored.
AB Moss – who works as an above water warfare specialist on a Royal Navy destroyer – denies any wrongdoing and instead insists the woman was ‘all over me’.
He denied three charges of sexual assault, though he accepts she rejected his attempt to kiss her.
