The West Virginia drifter who caused a bomb scare last week after placing two rice cookers in a subway station is in plea talks with Manhattan prosecutors, his lawyer said Friday.

Larry Griffin, 26, was arrested and slapped with felony charges for allegedly placing the fake bombs in the Fulton Street subway station, temporarily closing it down Aug. 16 while officials investigated.

Griffin, who police sources described as emotionally disturbed and homeless, did not appear at a brief hearing in his case Friday in Manhattan criminal court.

“He has not yet been indicted because we are trying to work out a disposition,” his lawyer, Michael Croce, said outside the courtroom.

“We are in conversations with the district attorney’s office to see if we can resolve this matter,” the lawyer added.

Griffin — who is being held on $200,000 bond — has an ongoing criminal case in West Virginia for allegedly sending a bestiality video to a minor.

He is due back in Manhattan court on Sept. 6.
