There’s been some paltry progress on the Pulaski.
The city has apparently upped its futile attempt to block cars from the Pulaski Bridge’s pedestrian walkway — replacing a lone traffic cone with a dinky plastic bollard.
The anti-car escalation comes after a driver managed to wedge a black Honda Accord between concrete dividers on the Queens side of the Brooklyn-Queens span’s pedestrian path last week.
Puzzled officials spent hours removing the abandoned sedan. It’s believed the unidentified driver escaped through the window since the mangled car was lodged too tight to open a door.
Drivers have taken to restricted sections of the bridge before. Back in 2016 a sedan was caught navigating over the Pulaski’s narrow bike path, NBC reported.
A city Department of Transportation spokesperson clarified that what they installed on the walkway is a “flexible deliniator.”
