Prince Harry will NOT watch his mother Diana’s final moments in the new series of The Crown, reports claim
- Duke of Sussex won’t continue viewing due to ‘sensitive nature of its content’
Prince Harry will not be watching his mother’s last moments in the final season of The Crown, reports claimed last night.
A source close to the Duke of Sussex scotched claims he would continue viewing the controversial Netflix series, having watched previous episodes.
They told a news website that this was due to the ‘sensitive nature’ of its content.
But the source stressed to Deadline that, given Harry and his wife Meghan benefit from a multi-million-dollar production deal with the streaming giant, he has ‘no ill feelings’ towards The Crown’s creators over their decision to cover Diana’s death.
In contrast, Buckingham Palace has refused to comment on the show, which has been heavily criticised for its factual inaccuracies.
Harry was not consulted over The Crown, nor had any advance viewing of episodes.

It comes as sources close to Harry and Meghan claimed they have had nothing to do with a controversial new royal book written by their one of their favoured writers.

They moved today to distance themselves from biographer Omid Scobie’s Endgame: Inside the Royal Family and the Monarchy’s Fight for Survival.
In the book, Mr Scobie claims Harry was deliberately kept ‘in the dark’ about his grandmother Queen Elizabeth’s health in her final days.
The Mail understands that the couple ‘categorically deny’ any suggestion they are ‘affiliated’ with the book.
And they even went on to deny that Mr Scobie, who co-wrote their flattering biography Finding Freedom, is even part of the ‘Sussex camp’.
In 2021, the Duchess of Sussex was forced to apologise to the High Court for claiming she ‘did not cooperate’ with Finding Freedom after a senior former royal aide revealed he had emails written to him by Meghan in which she offered briefing points to discuss with Mr Scobie and his co-author, Carolyn Durand.
Some reports today suggested that Buckingham Palace courtiers were ‘furious’ about the new book.
But the Mail understands these have been greeted with wry amusement behind Palace walls, with many feeling the contents so far – as serialised in People magazine – are ‘exactly what was expected’, detailing known events with a ‘decidedly Sussex skew’.
