‘Like a Tom Cruise-style action movie… without the action’: Rishi Sunak mocked for ‘migraine-inducing’ new video to mark his first 100 days in office (although it doesn’t feature his under-pressure deputy Dominic Raab) as PM promises to ‘deliver change’

Rishi Sunak was mocked today after releasing a ‘migraine-inducing’ new video to mark his first 100 days in office.
The Prime Minister posted the 90-second clip to social media this morning as he vowed to ‘deliver change’ in No10.
It featured footage of Mr Sunak meeting world leaders, on a visit to Ukraine and speaking to voters across Britain.
Other top Cabinet ministers such as Chancellor Jeremy Hunt, Foreign Secretary James Cleverly, Home Secretary Suella Braverman, and Health Secretary Stephen Barclay also appeared in the video.
But Dominic Raab – the Deputy Prime Minister and Justice Secretary – was noticeably absent as he continues to face a probe into ‘bullying’ allegations.
Mr Sunak’s video attracted a predictably poor reception on social media, with some comparing it unfavourably to a ‘Tom Cruise-style action movie’ or an advert for Royal Mail.

Others told the PM he ‘couldn’t deliver a pizza’, and one branded the clip as ‘literally the cringiest thing I have ever seen’.
‘The contrast between this Tom Cruise-style action movie and the actual complete lack of action to address the slow disintegration of the country is quite something,’ one Twitter user wrote.
Another added: ‘All style and no substance, pretty on brand for you.’
Others took issue with Mr Sunak’s vow to ‘deliver change’, telling him: ‘Mate, you couldn’t change a lightbulb’, and ‘You’ll certainly deliver countless polished TikTok videos in the coming months’.
‘Sounds like an Amazon / Royal Mail advert only difference is the fact that they do deliver,’ another posted.
Daisy Cooper, deputy leader of the Liberal Democrats, said: ‘Yet another cringey video from the Prime Minister.
‘But even these migraine-inducing whizzy graphics can’t distract from the sleaze and chaos of his first 100 days.
‘Tax-payers are sick to the back teeth of seeing their hard-earned cash being spent on Tory spin without any substance.
‘The next general election can’t come soon enough.’
The ‘migraine-inducing’ video also included clips of Mr Sunak meeting Indian PM Narendra Modi

Mr Sunak’s 100th day in office was also marked by dire opinion polling numbers for the PM.
A YouGov survey found 72 per cent of voters don’t think he will be PM after the next election.
The poll also revealed that just 27 per cent thought he had done well so far.
But 34 per cent thought Mr Sunak was a better PM than Boris Johnson and 63 per cent thought he was better than his predecessor Liz Truss.
