An Ohio TV weatherman was tossed in jail Thursday for allegedly having kiddie porn, according to a report.

Mike Davis — a longtime meteorologist for the local news station WBNS-10TV — is accused of either selling, distributing or displaying an image of a young girl engaged in a sex act on Aug. 5, according to the Columbus Dispatch.

“Generally, these cases are not about one image,” Chief Deputy Rick Minerd of the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office said of the case, according to the paper. “We do take accidental downloads into account. It’s about a pattern.”

Davis, 60, was charged with pandering child pornography and was awaiting an arraignment at Franklin County jail Thursday, according to the paper.

Davis has worked as a meteorologist in central Ohio for more than three decades, and has written a book about weather in the Buckeye State, according to a biography on WBNS-10TV.

As of Thursday afternoon, he was listed as still employed by the station.

“At around 10 a.m. this morning, we learned that Mike Davis was arrested by the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office,” WBNS-10TV General Manager John Cardenas told The Dispatch. “We are learning more about the details and will be reporting on the story.”
