Police are hunting a man who struck a cop in the head with a glass object in Lower Manhattan as officers arrested a burglary suspect last week, authorities said.

Officers were on patrol June 1 around 2:10 a.m. when they spotted a burglary in progress at a convenience store on Walker Street near Baxter Street, cops said.

As they placed a suspect under arrest, a man attacked an officer — leaving him with lacerations to his head, according to police.

He was treated for his injuries at New York Downtown Hospital.

The suspect, who remained at large Tuesday morning, is between 20 and 25 years old and was last seen wearing a black jacket, white shirt, blue jeans and yellow and black sneakers, cops said.
