A mother has shared the grin-inducing moment her six-year-old daughter thought she would help prep dinner.
Brooke Evans, 6, from Forest Park in Georgia had been asked by her mom, Essence, to wash the chicken she was planning to cook later.
Stepping out for a quick shower before she started cooking, Essence had faith her daughter could handle the small chore.
Coming back refreshed, Essence was left laughing when she found her daughter had used dish soap to clean the chicken.
Treating each chicken leg to a luxurious and sudsy soak, the young girl turns to her mom with a big grin.
Essence asks her daughter, ‘what are you doing?’ to which the only answer Brooke can give is, ‘washing the chicken!’
The hilarious and heartwarming moment, captures a cute moment between a mother and daughter who have previously made headlines.
Essence giggles to herself quietly before asking her six year old what she thinks she’s doing
In early 2018, Essence went viral for posting a parenting method that required her daughter, then only five years old, to pay her rent for five dollars of a seven dollar allowance.
The clever mom argued it was preparing her little girl for the real world, but not before adding that the money she takes away isn’t actually spent on bills, but is added to a little nest egg for Brooke when she’s older.
It remains unclear whether Brooke’s next allowance will be spent paying back the chicken she washed, but the six-year-old has been taught a valuable lesson in food preparation.
Surprise! Essence is secretly putting her daughter’s ‘rent’ money in a savings account that she will give back to her when she turns 18
