A music fan is facing eviction after switching his sound system to an Amazon Echo speaker, causing his neighbours too complain he was blasting eighties rock too loud.
Irked neighbours are sick of hearing Martin Van-Evelingen, 24, say ‘Play Bon Jovi’ and rock out to hits such as Livin’ On A Prayer at housing block in Blackwater, near Truro in Cornwall.
Martin, who is such a big Bon Jovi fan he named his Chihuahua after the New Jersey band, says that he use to play music on a sound system linked to his TV, and never had problems.

Issues only occurred when he got the voice activated device, sparking what’s believed to be the first Alexa related noise dispute in the UK.
‘I’ve only had the Alexa three weeks and I’m suddenly in trouble.
‘I like Bon Jovi, but never put it higher than volume five or six because it affects the bass and it only goes up to ten’ the unemployed former Health Care Assistant told the Sun.
Ocean Housing, who owns the block of homes, has told Martin to turn down the rock or face eviction.

‘The welfare of tenants is our priority.
‘We have spoken with Mr Van-Evelingen and hope the matter is resolved’ they said in a statement.
It comes as China Labor Watch found hundreds of schoolchildren have been drafted in to make Amazon’s Echo Dot and Kindle devices illegally in China.
Investigators at Amazon supplier Foxconn’s factory found children were working gruelling night-shifts in order to meet demands in the city of Hengyang in Hunan Province.
Teenagers are encouraged by local schools and colleges to become ‘interns’ at the factory, where their teachers are paid to accompany them to work.
