A MAN-EATING tiger has mauled a boy and his grandfather to death after "escaping" a nature reserve in India.
The tragedy happened in Karnataka state, south India, on Monday.
The 75-year-old farmer was killed just 12 hours after his grandson was mauled to death.
According to local reports, his body was found 650 feet from where his grandson Chethan’s remains were discovered.
The boy was attacked while harvesting coffee at a plantation site near the Nagarahole Tiger Reserve.
The tiger was believed to be living on the reserve, which spans more than 316 square miles between the Kodagu and Mysuru regions.

It is home to 125 tigers, one of the largest populations in the country.
Forest officials told NationalNews they would patrol the villages to find the "man-eating" tiger and vets were on standby to sedate the animal.
Authorities have also installed 25 camera traps to establish the identity of the tiger, which is thought to be injured.
While the predator is a protected species, they are often forced to move out of sanctuaries and jungles and stray into populated areas.
