A man has been charged over a fatal stabbing in Melbourne’s north-west last week in an incident police say followed an altercation involving several males.
Emergency services found an injured 32-year-old man in St Albans, near St Albans Road, between Princess and Percy streets, about 10.50pm on December 30.

The man, from St Albans, was taken to hospital and later died.
Police arrested a 26-year-old man, of no fixed address, in Mernda in Melbourne’s outer-north on Monday afternoon.
They charged the man with murder, intentionally causing injury and bail offences.
Police allege the stabbing followed an altercation with several males.
However, investigators say they are not looking for any other people in relation to this incident.
The 26-year-old is due to appear in the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.
Earlier, police arrested two 18-year-old men and a 15-year-old boy but the trio was released from custody pending further enquiries.
