Teenage environmentalist Greta Thunberg has been crowned ‘Person of the Year’ by Time Magazine.
The Swedish activist, 16, captured hearts at the UN climate summit earlier this year when she said world leaders were ruining her generation’s future by not acting quickly enough to combat climate change.
She helped kickstart an international youth movement which saw students across the globe going on strike demanding protection of the planet’s future.
Greta has said politicians and business leaders are misleading the public by holding negotiations that are not leading to real action against warming temperatures.
