A FORMER coffee shop owner who left a sex toy in her car outside a rival tea room had her harassment conviction quashed.

Kerry Radley, 47, was accused of placing the purple item on display next to the Prima Rosa cafe in Salhouse, Norfolk.

The mum of three left her car there in 2018 as a “protest” after abuse from tea room customers.

But she denied wrongdoing, saying the toy had fallen out of a bag by accident.

The incident was after an ongoing feud between Radley and Prima Rosa owner Judith Nudd. Their businesses were only 20 yards apart.

The court heard that customers including small children asked their mother: "What is that purple cucumber?"

She was found guilty by magistrates 17 months ago and fined £180. But this was overturned at Norwich crown court with her appeal not opposed.

Oliver Haswell, who was representing Radley, said the quashed conviction has "brought an end to some torment" for her.

Kerry Radley said she was "over the moon" with the decision and the matter had "caused her family and friends stress and anxiety".
