DEVASTATED friends have paid tribute to missing teen Imogen Tothill after a body was found – with one writing: "I knew this day would come."
Cops and family members launched a huge search for Imogen, 17, after she failed to return home to Holmes Chapel in Cheshire on Tuesday.
A body was found in woodland yesterday.
Although formal identification has not yet taken place, Imogen's family has been made aware.
The tragedy is not being treated as suspicious.
Imogen's friends have posted messages telling of their grief on social media.
One said: "I knew this day would come… I just wish it wasn't so soon."
The young woman said she saw Imogen as a "sister".

"When I said you deserve the world, I meant you were the world to me, and I would give it all away for you," she said.
"You had so much to give and so little time to show everyone."
She added: "She is one with the stars, her true home."
Others have paid their respects on TikTok.
One wrote: "Rest in peace beautiful girl."
Another said: "RIP. She was actually so beautiful and didn't deserve it."
Cheshire Police said Imogen's family are being supported by specially-trained officers.
"Officers searching for a missing teenage girl from Holmes Chapel have sadly found a body," a spokesman said.
"The body was discovered in a wooded area near to Ravenscroft on Wednesday, February 9.
"Formal identification has not yet taken place, but it is believed to be that of missing teenager Imogen Tothill.
"Her next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
"Our thoughts are with Imogen’s family at this difficult time."
