He’s hot off the trail!

Mayor Bill de Blasio has vowed to stick out this weekend’s heat wave in the Big Apple, rather than hitting the campaign trail — after he took heat for being out chasing his presidential dream in Iowa last weekend when a large swath of Manhattan lost power.

“I am staying here until we get through this heat wave, which sounds like all the way until Sunday, maybe later, I am not sure yet, but whatever it takes,” de Blasio told Hot 97 radio’s “Ebro In The Morning” show.

Hizzoner, who was 1,000 miles away working on his long-shot presidential bid when the lights went out on Broadway Saturday, got hot under the collar defending his absence.

“Look, they didn’t send out a memo that there was going to be a blackout on Saturday night,” de Blasio said, trying to deflect criticism he’s received for being an absentee mayor while much of Manhattan went dark.

De Blasio claimed “no one saw” last weekend’s blackout coming because it wasn’t an usually hot day. But he added that he’ll have the city ready for extremely high temperatures over the weekend, when the mercury is expected to top 100 degrees.

“We can all see the warning signs now until Sunday [of] extraordinary heat,” he said. “We got to get ready to deal with anything and everything, and I am going to be here the whole time.”
