POLICE dealt with 38 reports of big cats on the prowl across the UK last year, figures reveal.
The alleged sightings included lions, pumas, leopards and cheetahs.
A cyclist told cops he was bitten by a puma — eight months after dogs were reportedly attacked by a 3ft-tall wild cat, both near Downham Market, Norfolk.
A Savannah cat was said to be roaming wild near Bolsover, Derbys.
In London, a “large cat without a tail” was reported creeping into Hyde Park and there were two sightings of a Savannah cat roaming the streets in Barnet.
Cambridgeshire Police had two reports of a panther-like creature.

A woman called Leicestershire police saying there had been a “commotion” at the bottom of her garden and when she looked the window she spotted a lion.
Officers in Kent dealt with five big cat sightings — the most of any force in England and Wales.
The cases were revealed after a Freedom of Information request.
