A tricky brainteaser has left some Reddit users scratching their heads.
In a post uploaded this week, a user posted an image of a diagnal and horizontal line combinatorics.
One of the basic problems in these mathematical equations is to determine the number of possible configurations.
So can YOU easily work out how many triangles are in this image?
One Reddit user easily summarized the solution.
They explained, the layout of the lines has two sets of triangles. There is one set with a horizontal line at the bottom, and another set with the horizontal line at the top.
The sets are identical but mirrored – so you only have to count one of the sets to find the total.
There are a total of 11 triangles with a horizontal bottom line. So, the total is 22 triangles.
