A TOURIST claims to have interacted with Brian Laundrie at a bar last month, where the fugitive fiancé seemed “mad at the world” and blasted him and a friend as "stupid southerners."

Hunter Mannies, 44, was on a roadtrip from his home in Louisiana when he believes he had an encounter with Laundrie.

Mannies told the New York Post that he saw a man who resembled Laundrie sitting alone at Bullwinkle’s Saloon in West Yellowstone on August 26, the day before Gabby Petito was last seen alive.

According to Mannies, the man was drinking alone, angry and confrontational.

When the man interjected into the conversation Mannies was holding with his friends, he said his name was Brian and that he was from New York.

“He was just mad at the world it seemed like,” Mannies told The Post.

The man believed to be Laundrie called Mannies and his group "stupid southerners" when he overheard their conversation turn to hunting and guns.

Later, when bodycam footage of Laundrie and Gabby began circulating online, Mannies said he recognized Laundrie, who was questioned by cops due to an alleged domestic disturbance in Utah.

“Just the way he carried himself and I heard his voice, it was him,” Mannies said.

Laundrie is being hunted by the FBI, and an arrest warrant has been issued for the 23-year-old, whose parents say he was last seen September 14.

Gabby Petito was reported missing on September 11 by her parents and her remains were found in Wyoming just a week later.

Laundrie’s parents released a new statement through their attorney Monday to address rumors about their knowledge of his whereabouts.

It reads: "Chris and Roberta Laundrie do not know where Brian is. They are concerned about Brian and hope the FBI can locate him.

"The speculation by the public and some in the press that the parents assisted Brian in leaving the family home or in avoiding arrest on a warrant that was issued after Brian had already been missing for several days is just wrong."

SEARCH CONTINUES

The search for Laundrie has spanned the country as sightings have been reported and investigated in many states.

Television star Dog the Bounty Hunter speculated that Laundrie is hiding in the wilderness.

In an interview with Fox News, Dog also addressed the possibility that Brian might be somewhere on the Appalachian Trail.

"He spent a couple months there in the past, and he is an outdoorsman," said Dog.

"He's very young, he's not an experienced criminal," the bounty hunter explained.

He added that Brian's lack of criminal history prior to Gabby's disappearance suggests that Brian won't attempt shoplifting or breaking and entering to stay on the run.

"This kid is an outdoorsman, so I think he went where he's comfortable," Dog concluded.

The warrant for Laundrie’s arrest stems from his alleged "unauthorized" use of a Capital One debit card “in the District of Wyoming and elsewhere.”

He allegedly swiped Gabby’s debit card, running up a $1,000 balance, from August 31 through September 1, according to the indictment, which was amended to note that he allegedly violated a specific statute.
