A BOY and a teenage girl are among three dead in a horror crash after two cars smash into a double-decker bus.

The tragedy, which took the lives of a woman in her 30s, a six-year-old boy and a teenage girl, happened around 2.20pm on Sunday.

The group were travelling down the A61 between South Stainely and Ripley, Ripon, north Yorkshire, in a silver Vauxhall Meriva when they were sadly killed.

North Yorkshire Police say the Vauxhall and a blue Toyota Aygo collided with the bus, which was heading in the opposite direction.

The bus driver was taken to hospital with leg injuries whilst some passengers sustained minor injuries.
