Teenager, 18, dies after his ‘moped collided with a parked car after being attacked’ in London

• Emergency services were called to Constable Crescent in Haringey on Monday
• The boy was pronounced dead at the scene as police launch investigation 

An 18-year-old boy has died in London after what police believe to have been a collision between his moped and a parked car after an attack. 

Metropolitan Police officers and the London Ambulance Service were called to Constable Crescent in Tottenham, Haringey at around 5pm on Monday after receiving reports of an injured male. 

But despite the efforts of the emergency services, the boy was pronounced dead at the scene at 5.28pm. 

Police have now launched an investigation into his death and believe at this early stage that he may have been riding a moped and collided with a parked car after being attacked. 

No arrests have been made at this stage.

Officers are working to confirm the nature of the victim’s injuries and establish where the initial incident took place.

A crime scene is in place and enquiries are ongoing. 

The 18-year-old’s next of kin are aware. 

As of Tuesday afternoon, a police cordon remained in place on Stamford Road, Newton Road and Constable Close. 

In a statement, The Metropolitan Police said: ‘An investigation has been launched following the death of a male in Haringey.

‘Police were called at 17:00hrs on Monday, 3 July to Constable Crescent N15 to reports of an injured male. Officers responded with LAS.

‘Despite the efforts of emergency services the 18-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene at 17:28hrs. Next of kin are aware.

‘At this very early stage police believe he may have been riding a moped and collided with a parked car after being attacked.
