BOMBSHELL texts show Prince Harry and Meghan Markle care more about strangers than their own family, Piers Morgan claimed today.

The GMB host lashed out at the Duke and Duchess of Sussex as court documents claimed Meghan was behind a devastating smear campaign against her estranged father Thomas Markle.

The documents have been filed by the Mail On Sunday as it fights a legal action bought by Meghan.

Writing in the Daily Mail today, the outspoken columnist said: "Like all good actresses, Meghan knows how to distract attention and self-promote herself as a ‘charitable’ person.

"But it seems she’s utterly heartless when it comes to the man who helped raise her, supported her financially, and about whom, right to the moment she met her handsome prince, she waxed lovingly and lyrically about on public social media platforms."

He equally hit out at Prince Harry – saying the 35-year-old championed mental health while doing nothing to support his father-in-law.

Piers added: "They’ve thrown him to the wolves, refusing to speak to him for 18 months or let him meet his grandson Archie."

Thomas Markle, 75, is still living in Mexico and has not met his son-in-law Prince Harry.

Piers Morgan has this week widely criticised the couple after they announced they were quitting as royals and moving to Canada.

He even labelled them "spoiled brats" – claiming they had "rail-roaded" the Queen with their demands.

The 93-year-old monarch this week sat Prince Harry down to discuss his future – giving him her blessing to start a new life while stating she would have preferred him to remain a full-time member of the Royal Family.

Meghan was spotted for the first time this week – first getting a seaplane before being pictured visiting a women's charity in Canada.

COURT CASE

The Duchess is currently suing the Mail On Sunday for damages after it published a leaked letter she wrote to Thomas three months after her May 2018 wedding. Meghan claims it was misuse of her private information and breach of copyright.

But documents filed by the paper argued intimate details of her broken relationship with Thomas, revealed in a US magazine by five “friends,” could only have come from her.

The court papers say that after Mr Markle messaged his daughter saying he couldn't come to her wedding because he had been rushed to hospital for emergency heart surgery and told not to fly on health grounds, he received a text that appeared to be from Prince Harry.

The message accused him of causing hurt to his daughter and did not ask about his health, leaving him "deeply hurt".

As part of the case, Meghan could be forced to hand over private text messages, emails and phone records as part of the legal disclosure process.

And she is likely to be called as a witness if the case is not settled out of court.

Her dad is said to be prepared to take the stand and testify against his own daughter in the bombshell case.

Her half-sister Samantha Markle told the BBC she didn't doubt her father would defend himself in the case. She said: "If he is called, he will come."

The outspoken 55-year-old previously hit out at her sibling, saying it was "ridiculous" to believe Meghan and Harry were entitled to privacy as they "knew what the duties were" when they wed.

She also claimed if her sister wanted to be "so private", she wouldn't have gone to Wimbledon last year to watch Serena Williams play with "40 empty seats around her".

Samantha, who lives in Florida, added: "Clearly, she knows she's engaging in attention-getting behaviours."
