A BIZARRE fish with freakishly human like teeth has been dubbed 'the testicle eater' after its founder posted the weird creature online.
The strange fish, the species of which is yet to be confirmed, was caught in the village of Somate, in Northern Peru.
Baffled social media users wondered if the fish's strange gnashers could be a result of pollution.
Farmer Jorge Chavez, 32, was fishing with a net in an irrigation canal close to where he and his colleagues were working when he spotted the bizarre fish in his catch.
The fish reportedly weighs just under five kilogrammes (11 lbs), and appears to have a row of teeth that bear a striking resemblance to human molars and incisors along its bottom jaw.
The fisherman says he decided to keep the strange fish, and plans to sample it with his family – but is waiting to hear back from authorities if the strange looking fish is safe to eat first.
He told reporters: "It is the first time I have seen a fish like this here.
'TESTICLE EATER'
"It scared my family and the village, that is why I will wait until the authorities determine if the meat is harmless.
"The meat is red and it seems normal."
Jorge's fears come after social media users were quick to comment on the weird fish, pondering whether its teeth were a deformity as a result of pollution, not unlike the famous three eyed fish from iconic cartoon The Simpsons.
The three eyed fish, dubbed Blinky by Simpsons fans, grows a third eye as a result of pollution leaking into the Springfield lake from Mr.Burns' nuclear power plant.
It is not known if the fish's teeth are a malformation, but Anthony Sanchez, commenting on social media, claimed to recognise the fish.
"Be careful as these kinds of fish are known as testicle eaters," he wrote.
Sanchez is referring to the Pacu, a fish native to South America that is recognisable by its massive human-like chops.

The Pacu are usually found in the Amazon, with their big teeth being used to bite through tough shells and seeds.
Known as testicle eaters, the fish are so named because of rumours that claim two men in Papua New Guinea bled to death after their testicles were chomped off by the fish.
Although the terrifying tale is widely recounted online, there have been no recorded incidents of the fish ever biting men's testicles or of a human dying from a Pacu bite.
