THE New Year is fast approaching, but how will we make it home from the festivities?
Here is a handy guide to what is and isn’t running.
Are trains running on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day?
Trains in London will be running as normal throughout the day – with special services at night.
The Overground will run a special overnight service will be running between Richmond, Clapham Junction and Stratford Highbury and Islington, and West Croydon.
Late trains will also run from Euston to Watford Junction until 1:45am.
TFL rail will meanwhile run every 30 minutes and throughout the night – but they won't stop at Heathrow Terminals all night, as well as Acton Main Line, West Ealing or Hanwell.
Avanti West coast will run an amended service for New Year's Day, as will East Midlands Railway.
GWR will start later than usual, while Greater Anglia will have a Sunday service.
Great Northern will also run a Sunday service, and ScotRail will shut down entirely.
Southern will have a reduced service.
Are tubes running on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day?
Tubes will be running on a delayed timetable in the day – but that will let people travel at night.
And better yet, all journeys between 11:45pm on New Year's Eve and 4:30am on New Year's Day will be free.
Underground stations near the fireworks be exit-only to avoid crowd trouble.
There will also be no Piccadilly line service between Uxbridge and Rayners Lane and no District line service between Earl's Court and Kensington (Olympia).
