METRO Boomin is a producer, DJ and record executive who has been making music from a young age and is a major player in the industry.

Born Leland Tyler Wayne on September 16, 1993, Metro hit stardom with his track Karate Chop in 2012 when he was just 19.

Metro Boomin is the son of Leslie Joanne and Lamont Wayne.

He is reportedly one of four children but his parents split when he was in third grade.

As a teen, Metro and his mom would drive from St Louis to Atlanta so he could work with OJ Da Juiceman at his studio – a trip that would happen every weekend depending on how Metro performed at school.
