Coronation Street's Gary Windass upped his game this week in his bid to take down doctor Ali Neeson amid heir growing feud.
After Ali tried to get back with ex Maria Connor, who Gary is now seeing, he decided to try and get some dirt on the character.
Mikey North's character hired a private investigator to take a look into Ali's past, as well as his recent odd behaviour at work.
But the investigator is no stranger to the Street, having previously worked for Adam Barlow against Gary after his own behaviour sparked concern.
Gary ended up paying him off while viewers were wondering if he'd been murdered.
Now, the investigator is back and working for Gary.
In scenes on Thursday, he helps Gary track down Big Farmer – who recently supplied drugs at the hospital – and it's not long before things get violent.
But those wondering where they've seen the investigator before might be surprised.
Actor Alexander Kirk has been in a number of other TV roles, which might be why he looks so familiar.
Alexander has actually appeared in another soap, playing the role of Mal in EastEnders back in 2008.
Mal was a comedy agent who was interested in Jane Beale's stand-up act, but he was kicked out after causing trouble with her husband Ian.
Alexander also appeared in BBC daytime soap Doctors in 2007, and former BBC comedy series My Family in 2009.
Fans of Mount Pleasant may recognise him as he played Jim between 2011 and 2012, and other comedy roles include appearances in Fresh Meat and Still Open All Hours.
Further TV roles include Casualty, After Life, Drunk History, Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps and Silent Witness.
Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7:30pm and 8:30pm on ITV.
