The Bachelor Presents: Listen to Your Heart is finally coming to ABC on Monday, April 13. The latest spinoff series blends what we love about The Bachelor franchise with a live music twist. And as the fandom craves new content as we patiently stand by for Clare Crawley’s season of The Bachelorette to air on the network, the show couldn’t have come at a better time. But as expected, a longer wait is in order for those of you who cut the cord and exclusively watch online via streaming services. So when will The Bachelor: Listen to Your Heart be released on Hulu? Here’s what we know.
‘The Bachelor: Listen to Your Heart’ premiere date and time on ABC
The series premiere of The Bachelor: Listen to Your Heart airs Monday, April 13, at 8 p.m. EST. The two-hour debut kicks off a 6-episode run on ABC. And in the first week, fans will be introduced to a cast of 12 men and eight women.
‘The Bachelor: Listen to Your Heart’ Hulu release date in 2020
The first episode of The Bachelor: Listen to Your Heart will be available to watch on Hulu starting Tuesday, April 14. And as always, the streaming platform will release subsequent episodes the morning after the show’s original airing on ABC. New episodes are also typically released by 9 a.m. EST.
Now if you want to watch The Bachelor: Listen to Your Heart as it airs on ABC, you can still livestream new episodes through Hulu Live TV. This package will allow viewers to catch the spinoff live or on-demand. But it costs $54.99/month.
Will ‘The Bachelor: Listen to Your Heart’ be on Netflix?
For now, it seems highly unlikely that The Bachelor: Listen to Your Heart will be on Netflix. The streaming service currently has Jason Mesnick’s season of the flagship series. However, the remaining seasons of The Bachelor, as well as the entire catalog of The Bachelorette and Bachelor in Paradise, are not available.
Meanwhile, The Bachelor: Listen to Your Heart will be on Hulu. So if ABC ever chooses to make the move, it will still take some time. Nevertheless, fans will just have to wait and see what happens moving forward.
What to expect when ‘The Bachelor: Listen to Your Heart’ premieres
Whether you choose to watch Listen to Your Heart on Hulu or live on ABC, it seems the new spinoff has everything you need in a Bachelor show. When speaking with E! News, Chris Harrison shared what to expect starting April 13.
“I think you can describe [Listen to Your Heart] as Bachelor in Paradise meets A Star Is Born. If you’re a fan of The Bachelor you will sense that familiarity,” Harrison said. “You’re gonna think, oh, OK, this feels right. It feels familiar.”
He continued: “But then at the same time, it feels fresh. It feels different. It has this kind of eccentric musical twist to it that feels really good, so it’s kind of the best of both worlds.”
And although there is an emphasis on the Listen to Your Heart cast’s talent and ability to perform, the show will focus on the romance first. Still speaking with E! News, Harrison noted the elimination ceremony will copy the Bachelor in Paradise model. Meanwhile, the performances add another layer of drama to the relationship.
Harrison said:
Even those performances, when you’re watching, it doesn’t feel like you’re watching American Idol or The Voice because there’s so much more invested in these people and there’s so much more on the line. And when you’re watching them, you’re really seeing this relationship, less of just two people singing and how good are they as singers.
You also get to see behind the scenes of, hey, maybe they’re not getting along or they just had a fight, and how does this come out on stage? It was really interesting just to see how evident it was when you see a couple on stage, you can tell if they are in a good place or if they really have found love or are on the way to finding love.
The Bachelor franchise has over two decades of experience under its belt. And although not every spinoff has been successful, we’re excited to see where this one will take us. So stay tuned. The Bachelor Presents: Listen to Your Heart airs Monday nights at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
