Pagan Peak

Like The Bridge, with a twist, this German-Austrian co-production sees an eager young female detective from Germany and a grumpy and outrageously rumpled Austrian detective teaming up (reluctantly, of course) to solve the murder of someone found perched neatly across the border stone between the two countries. I'm pretty sure the original title (Der Pass) doesn't actually mean "pagan peak", but the English version refers to the fact that pretty soon more bodies start appearing, all posed in a manner suggesting ancient pagan rituals. This ticks a number of familiar boxes to anyone who watches a bit of Euro-crime, but the odd-couple partnership works and the crimes themselves certainly keep us guessing.
