What happened in Kentucky?

On December 10, 2021, a state of emergency was declared throughout several Midwestern states due to the number of storms in the region.

Multiple tornados later emerged in Kentucky, including a category five tornado that destroyed almost everything in its path.

Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear said, "This is likely to be the most severe tornado outbreak in our state's history."

"We believe our death toll from this event will exceed 50 Kentuckians and probably end up 70 to 100," Beshear continued.

Shocking photos showed the devastation and destruction that caused at least 70 people to lose their lives, including a two-month-old girl.

The Red Cross is accepting donations to help the victims and anyone interested in helping can log onto redcross.org or call 800-RED CROSS. People can also send a $10 donation by texting "REDCROSS" to the number, 90999.
