With its romantic twists and turns, Love Island has had viewers hooked every year since its relaunch in 2015.
But when the bikinis get packed away and the cameras stop rolling, what becomes of the lovers whose journeys have gripped the nation all summer?
While some fizzle before the show's even over – like 2018's Alex George and Alexandra Crane – other prove they are the real deal by getting 'hitched' in their swimwear.
And there's been no shortage of crossover hook-ups between the stars of the different series.
From weddings and babies to breakups and tragedy, Mirror Online reveals what came next for your favourite couples…
SERIES 4 – 2018
Winners: Dani and Jack
Dani Dyer and Jack Fincham coupled up right at the start and stayed together for the duration before being crowned champions.
The Essex exports wasted no time moving in together, getting the keys for a rental in London's posh Canary Wharf just three weeks after the show wrapped.
And on October 2 they send fans wild by teasing their 'engagement' on Twitter with Dani showing off her 'stunning ring'.
But it turned out to be a hoax for a radio station, causing an outpouring of dissapointment.
However, the cracks started to show soon after with the couple splitting and getting back together before Jack, 27, announced they'd ended it for good in April.
"There is no easy way to say this and it isn't going to be an easy time but me and Dani are not in a relationship anymore," he wrote on Instagram.
"We will always care a lot for each other and have love for each other and I mean that from the bottom of my heart and I wish her nothing but happiness."
Dani, 23, later denied the split was a 'publicity stunt' for her What Would Dani Do? book tour, telling Huffington Post UK, "It's just one of them things, it didn’t work out. There’s going to be a lot of stuff going on about it, but it’ll be fine."
It wasn't fine though, with things turning nasty when Dani was spotted snogging the face off her stockbroker ex, Sammy Kimmence, on a boozy day out just weeks later.
Sources claimed they'd been seeing each other right up to her stint in the villa, and that she had promised to go back to him once the show was done.
“She wanted to make the most out of the show and ensure she bagged the most lucrative deals,” an insider told The Sun, claiming she'd never really loved Jack.
“She knew the best way to do this was to become the nation’s sweetheart and Jack added to that image,” the source continued.
“It was always her intention to go back to Sammy."
Sammy made an apparent dig at Jack when he uploaded a photo of himself with Dani to Instagram last month saying they had been predestined to get back together.
“Boomerang if things meant to find there way they will trust me,” he wrote – before changing the caption to: “Me and my Dan.”
However, Dani denied the claims, insisting she had been in to Jack.
"Things don’t work out, things change," she wrote on Twitter, adding: "this is just so hurtful when there’s no truth."
Runners-up: Laura and Paul
Laura Anderson had her heartbroken more than once but when model Paul Knops entered the villa with his over thirty ways and rather charming beard, she fell head over her nude heels.
But they confirmed their split on September 12, just two months after leaving the villa, after Paul supposedly visited the US alone and determined they "weren't compatible".
However, last month a woman claiming to have been Paul's secret New York girlfriend came forward and said they'd planned to reunite after the show, and that he used Laura to further his modelling career.
“Paul lived with his girlfriend in New York before he went onto Love Island," a source told The Sun.
“He promised his ex they could be together again after the show had finished and she knew to avoid ITV2, which wasn't going to be difficult as she’s based in New York.
“Laura had no idea he was with another woman during his time in the states but they split as soon as he returned.”
Laura, who turned 30 last month, is now in a relationship with Love Island winner Max Morley.
Third place: Kaz and Josh
Josh Denzel and Kaz Crossley won the most attractive couple award hands down (by their own smug vote of course) but for Kaz and Josh it was third place.
But despite showing great promise, they split in January and things have only got nastier since.
Kaz, 25, started dating series three Love Island star Theo Campbell soon after – and Josh, 27, didn't take well.
Commenting on a post that read, "Girls that move on before it's been 3 years after a break up," Josh sniped, "Three years? How about three weeks?!"
Clearly unimpressed, Kaz shared a screenshot of the action and joked, "Ppl move so brave after they've blocked you."
Fourth place: Wes and Megan
Wegan scraped into fourth place after a load of "i have changed for the better" conversations mainly kick-started by ex-stripper Megan.
After leaving the villa they shacked up in Megan's chic Southend flat.
But alas, their love could not survive the bright glare of the spotlight, with Meghan pulling the plug – and taking their hamster Jon Snow – after getting paranoid about Wes and his Dancing On Ice partner, Vanessa Bauer.
And while Megan has made it clear she'd love another piece of the Wes pie, he's ruled out any kind of reunion.
"It’s not just the show that’s caused it so we wouldn’t get back together after it. There wasn’t a final nail in the coffin – it was a series of yellow cards, not one red card, if that makes sense," he said.
“We both love each other, both respect each other but we’re not the people we want to be with in the long term. We don’t want to waste each other’s time.
"You want to be with someone who you know you’re going to spend the rest of your life with. We’re being selfish and saying we can’t force it. It’s got to be right for both of us.”
SERIES 3 – 2017
Winners: Kem Cetinay and Amber Davies
These two were so adorable they sailed to victory in summer 2017.
Unfortunately, despite scooping the £50,000 cash prize, they went their separate ways that Decemeber.
“With sadness, we’ve decided to separate. Our schedules made it difficult. We’ll remain good friends,” a statement said.
Fortunately, Kem has his 'bromance' with Chris Hughes to fill any void and was linked to series four evictee, Kendall Rae-Knight, when they hit it off on Aftersun last year.
Amber, 22, reportedly enjoyed a string of dates with One Director star Liam Payne, and is currently starring in West End musical 9 to 5.
Runners-Up: Camilla Thurlow & Jamie Jewitt
After being dumped by Jonny Mitchell and low-key stalked by Craig Lawson, it was starting to look like romance wouldn't happen for Camilla Thurlow in Love Island 2017.
But all that changed the minute hunky former Calvin Klein model Jamie Jewitt entered the villa with the sole intention of wooing the posh humanitarian – who once got off with Prince Harry.
And unlike their co-stars, whose relationships have crashed and burned, two years on the couple is still going strong, making them one of the class of 2017's biggest success stories.
These days, they spend much of their time using their fame to promote charitable causes, such as World Cancer Day.
"We haven’t left each other’s side since we left the villa," Jamie previously said.
“It is incredible to have met someone like Cam who has the same interests as me, which is why we still getting on so well now.
“She has done some amazing things in her life and I am so lucky she is nice enough to let me come along with her.”
Third place: Chris Hughes & Olivia Attwood
This pair need little introduction.
Despite having obvious chemistry, they constantly argued during their time in the Love Island villa – and then some in the real world.
Although they gave their romance a go on their on TV series, Chris and Olivia: Crackin’ On, it wasn't meant to be. In fact, their messy break-up was broadcast to millions.
Since then, Olivia has got back with on-off boyfriend, Bradley Dack, while Chris is dating non other than Little Mix's Jesy Nelson.
The cat was out the bag when they were spotted snogging in a kebab shop in February, and they're still going strong with Jesy regularly sharing cute updates on her Instagram.
Gushing about their relationship at this year's Cheltenham Festival, he said Jesy leaves him "speechless and laughing".
"It's great, she's a lovely girl, and I'm going to bring her to a race one day," he said.
"She's never been to a race before, I said I'll bring her back next festival, she's rehearsing this week, very busy schedule these girls. She's great."
Fourth place: Marcel Somerville and Gabby Allen
Once part of boy-band Blazin' Squad, Marcel was – rather ironically – considered the nice guy of the competition.
His connection with Gabby delighted viewers who wanted them to win, but they finished in fourth place.
A nine-month relationship followed, but this came crashing down when he cheated on her during a lads' holiday in Spain.
He then accused her of cheating on him with Dan Osbourne – husband of former EastEnders star Jacqueline Jossa.
She's now seeing Rak-Su star Myles Stephenson, and they moved in together last year.
Jess & Dom
They were the first couple to be separated in the villa when one half was booted out, but the love is still very much alive for Jess Shears and Dom Lever who are married with a baby on the way.
Yesterday the couple shared a picture of their sonogram along with a snap of Jess' baby bump.
"The best is yet to come," gushed Jess, 25.
It's the first baby for the pair, who met in the villa in 2017 and got engaged just three months after the series ended.
They married in Mykonos, Greece in October in a intimate ceremony attended by just 22 guests.
Series 2 – 2016
Winners: Cara de la Hoyde and Nathan Massey
Cara and Nathan were love's young dream when they hooked-up on series two of Love Island.
They were arguably the strongest couple in the villa (had a few wobbles – nothing major) and were destined to walk away with the £50,000 cash prize, which they did.
Cara even emerged from the show telling fans: "We will not let you down. We're going to get married and we're going to have babies."
Well, the latter was correct but sadly the marriage prediction was not.
Cara moved into a flat with Nathan in his native Essex, which saw them pop-up in TOWIE. They also spoke frequently in interviews about their inevitable engagement.
Then, in April, they announced a shock split. And a bigger shock followed just three weeks later: Cara was pregnant.
She told OK magazine they hadn't been trying for a baby and had broken up around two weeks after finding out she was expecting.
Fast forward to 6.30am on December 13 2017 and their son, Freddie-George, was born.
They both said they wouldn't get back together for the sake of the child , but this also proved a dud prediction.
The couple have since reunited and hinted on Instagram that more children may be on the horizon.
Then in July 2018, while the latest series of Love Island was on telly again, they announced their engagement.
Nathan whisked Cara off to the villa where they'd met in Mallorca, blindfolded her and popped the question.
She's now in the process of planning a wild Magaluf hen do.
Runners-up: Olivia Buckland and Alex Bowen
These two had an interesting start on the show: they only got together after Alex had already slept with another contestant, Zara Holland.
But they certainly made up for lost time, being crowned the show’s biggest rompers after having sex more than 30 times.
They officially became boyfriend and girlfriend in the series finale, which Alex took to the next level by popping the question over New Year’s Eve, which they spent in New York.
Despite initially planning to keep the wedding 'really small', the couple ended up tying the knot in a lavish ceremony at Essex's Gosford Hall.
Alex flew in by helicopter while Olivia was ferried in white Rolls Royce from the front of the house to the back.
They now live together in Essex (with a French bulldog).
Third place: Scott Thomas and Kady McDermot
They starred in one of the most romantic Love Island scenes of all time – when Scott asked Kady to go official while kneeling poolside surrounded by candles and towels arranged to spell out the words, ‘Be my GF?’.
Following the show, their romance went from strength to strength.
They lived together in Manchester and spent time in Australia supporting Scott’s brother, ex-Emmerdale actor Adam Thomas, while he was appearing on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!
Unfortunately, they split just 18 months after leaving the villa.
Fourth place: Katie Salmon and Adam Maxted
Katie coupled-up with Northern Irish wrestler Adam, but it failed to launch.
Once the show finished, they both confirmed via Twitter that they were 100 per cent single – and threw in a couple of cryptic metaphors.
Adam said: “It's like when you're eating a kebab after a night out & the first few bites taste good but then u realise that it really isn't nice at all!”
Katie retaliated: “It's like getting socks at Christmas. Practical but no fun.”
Katie later confirmed a romance with model Dani Whittaker, while Adam is in a relationship with dance instructor Carly Taylor.
Fifth place: Emma-Jane Woodham and Terry Walsh
Terry initially hooked up with Malin Andersson at the start of the show, but fell for newbie Emma Jane after Malin was evicted in a shock elimination.
But, alas, it was not meant to be, and Terry and Emma later split.
Terry announced the break up on Twitter, saying: "For people asking me or who it concerns me n Em have broken up. We’re still friends. One chapter closes another must open."
Tom Powell and Sophie Gradon
(He was eliminated week five, she walked)
Their romance was tested when Tom's ex, Emma-Jane Woodham, turned-up out of the blue, but Tom and Sophie genuinely adored each other.
That was clear when he was eliminated in week five, which saw devastated Sophie alone in the villa – until Katie Salmon arrived and they became the first-ever same sex Love Island couple.
Days after coupling up with Katie, however, Sophie cooled things off as she just wanted to be with Tom.
She then quit the villa, saying she didn't want to lose him.
Afterwards, Sophie and Tom met up – on camera – and managed to patch things up before splitting months later.
Tom was later linked to their villa-mate Malin Andersson, while Sophie found love with new man Ashley Lenco. They later broke up and she began dating Aaron Armstrong before tragedy struck.
Sophie took her own life on June 20, 2019, aged just 32 after battling depression. Boyfriend Aaron found her body and killed himself three weeks later.
Rykard Jenkins and Rachel Fenton
(She was eliminated week three, he walked)
Their romance was one of the sweetest and most enduring in Love Island history; after meeting at the villa and forging a connection, the couple were torn apart by a twist that saw Rachel eliminated and Rykard told to remain on the island.
But the thought of saying goodbye to Rachel when he'd just found her was just too much to take, so he dramatically quit there and then, leaving the villa alongside his beloved.
They gave it a good crack, racking up 18 months together before parting ways in December 2017.
He has since been linked to 2018 contestant Alexandra Cane.
Series 1 – 2015
Winners: Jess Hayes and Max Morley
Jessica and Max were crowned the first-ever winners of Love Island, sharing the £50k prize.
However, the writing was on the wall when Jessica told Mirror Celebs less than 24 hours later: “We have a laugh together but we are not madly in love or anything like that.”
So it was no surprise that two months later, the couple – who lived in different parts of the country – had split up, with Jess admitting: “Some things are just not meant to be.”
Max added: “We gave it our best shot.”
However, Jess seemed a little less amicable towards Max in a Facebook Live with Daily Star the following year, when she said: "You think you fancy someone but with Max, looking back at it now, it makes me cringe."
"I would never, ever go near him again," she added.
Max went on to date Geordie Shore star Charlotte Crosby and fellow Love Island star Zara Holland. He also appeared in Ex on the Beach and is now romancing 2018 contestant, Laura Anderson.
Runners-up: Hannah Elizabeth and Jon Clark
These two gave us our first – and only – on-screen engagement in series one, when Jon dropped to one knee and popped the question.
Sadly for them, his grand gesture didn’t lead to them to victory (and that cash prize would have helped with wedding planning, given Hannah said she wanted the “biggest wedding ever” with a huge gown covered in Swarovski crystals.)
In the end, there wasn’t to be a wedding: the couple called things off.
Jon told OK magazine there was no animosity, they’d just been rowing and things hadn’t worked out.
Hannah agreed, saying the engagement hadn’t been for show – they’d genuinely both loved each other and wanted to marry.
Since Love Island , Jon's joined the cast of TOWIE alongside Chris Clark. Meanwhile, Hannah found love with a new man, George Andretti, whom she described as her "soulmate."
Third place: Lauren Richardson and Joshua Ritchie
These two paired-up as friends during their time on Love Island, two years ago. Sadly, romance didn't blossom for them, either.
Lauren’s retreated from the spotlight over the last year, but Josh has been making his fair share of headlines.
Joshua, 24 – who claims to have slept with more than 400 women – appeared in Ex On The Beach and had a brief fling with Stephanie Davis, following her split from Jeremy McConnell.
He started dating Charlotte Crosby, 29, in 2017 . And despite numerous make-ups and break-ups, she seems keen to go the distance.
“I can see myself marrying and having babies with Josh, but he's still quite young, so we'll see," she said.
Fourth place: Cally Jane Beech and Luis Morrison
These two actually dated before Love Island – but being at the villa gave them a chance to reconnect and remember just why they’d fallen for each other in the first place.
The fact Cally was based in Hull and Luis lived in London had been a factor in why their relationship hadn’t worked previously, but after being thrust together on the show, the timing was just right.
And they produced the first-ever Love Island baby!
Cally gave birth to daughter Vienna Morrison-Beech after a 32-hour labour, saying: “The most amazing day and feeling ever. When 2 became 3.”
WHAT ABOUT THE PRESENTERS?
Caroline Flack and Andrew Brady
She hasn't always been an authority on romance – with a trail of broken relationships behind her (including Harry Styles, no less).
But it appears that she's finally found Mr Right in the form of another reality TV star: The Apprentice's Andrew Brady.
The couple got engaged earlier this year and he recently moved into her London apartment.
There were rumours of infidelity (on his part), followed by a shock split and his swift departure to Australia where he's living out of a backpack.
Iain Stirling and Laura Whitmore
Off-screen, Iain Stirling is far more successful than many of Love Island's contestants.
He's been dating TV presenter Laura Whitmore for more than a year – and happily admits he's "punching above his weight" with the blonde beauty.
Iain, who became well known for his sarcastic Scottish drawl as the voiceover of reality show Love Island, said he takes no offence at suggestions his girlfriend is better looking than he is.
In an interview for the Chris Ramsey show, he said: “I don’t mind it, because it just means I’ve done better haven’t I?
“I’ve got someone who’s like me, but much, much better. And Laura’s got someone who’s like her, but much worse.
“I think I’ve done quite well out of it, but I’m dead happy because she’s lovely and stuff.”
