TIPPING Point viewers have been left seriously distracted by a contestant's outfit – but can you spot why?

Wednesday's episode of the ITV quiz show saw four new players try and win as many coins from the machine as possible to boost their prize fund.

One of the contestants was Martyn, who struggled to gain much from the machine and failed to make it past the first round.

But before he left, he was able to make quite the impact on viewers at home thanks to his choice of outfit.

Martyn wore a khaki green granddad-collar T-shirt and when the camera panned back viewers could see he was also wearing knee-length shorts.

Martyn completed his summery look with trainers and potentially no socks.

Taking to Twitter, one viewer wrote: "Martyn might as well be wearing flip-flops."

Another added: "Martyn must have cut his staycation short to make it on time."

A third tweeted simply: "Shorts Martyn?"

Meanwhile a fellow viewer joked: "Great day for Martyn but no money to buy a pair of trousers."

After Martyn's early departure, the competition was down to Hollie, Pip and Jason.

Hollie was next to go, leaving Pip and Jason to go head to head before Pip was the one to make it through to the final round and a chance to win £10,000.

However, the machine wasn't on her side, and so host Ben Shephard asked if she would like to gamble the £2900 she had won so far for three more tokens to try and win the jackpot.

Pip decided to stick with what she had earned, which turned out to be the right choice, as after playing three more counters, the jackpot token hadn't moved any further forward.

Tipping Point airs weekdays at 4pm on ITV.
