CHAOS will rule over Albert Square this week as the Beales are finally reunited.

Revenge, heartbreak and death could be in the works as EastEnders legends Cindy and Ian Beale find their mark again.

1. Former flames reunited

George Knight (portrayed by Colin Salmon) is getting ready to walk down the aisle with Elaine Peacock.

But could Cindy's return compromise the nuptials and reveal some unresolved romantic feelings?

Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) has been nervous Cindy (Michelle Collins) may leave him to head back into George's arms and considering upcoming events, he may be right to worry.

Coming up, Cindy meets her son Peter Beale (Thomas Law) who came back to the Square himself in recent scenes of the London-based program.

Peter takes a call from Ian (Adam Woodyatt) who demands he get his mum back to France, but whilst his back is turned, Cindy heads to Albert Square in search of Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth).

Cindy tries to avoid people from her past during her search and with no luck in the café, she heads to No.45 to face the music.

It’s not long before all hell breaks loose between the women and, later, Ian arrives himself, desperate to get Cindy away.

However, she is stopped in her tracks by George Knight (Colin Salmon), who has just exited The Vic.

Cindy Beale comes face to face with George Knight as EastEnders legend returns

George is stunned to see Cindy, but he soon hardens to learn she had no knowledge that he or the girls were in the Square, and she didn’t return for them.

Cindy questions George on their daughters’ whereabouts but he lies and insists they are both in Spain.

Wanting to protect Gina and Anna (respectively played by Francesca Henry and Molly Rainford), George takes Cindy to the barrel store and demands answers.

Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) then interrupts their clandestine chat and implores George for his selfishness considering all the hard work Elaine Peacock has put in for Anna’s party.

Realising her daughters are inches away, Cindy rushes into the bar and comes face to face with Anna and Gina as well as the residents of Walford.

The fallout of Cindy and Ian’s return sends shockwaves through Walford.

Upstairs in The Vic, Cindy desperately tries to explain herself to Gina and Anna – but how will they respond?

While this remains to be seen, the pair of sisters head to Peggy's after the showdown but things quickly get out of hand.

George believes the worst is yet to come and tries to track down the girls with Cindy before his worst fears come true…

An overwhelmed George orders Cindy to leave along with the Beales.

Alone for the first time, he later breaks down in tears while Cindy and Ian take refuge at Alfie Moon's.

Ian's deceptive nature wreaks havoc this week after he tried to keep his wife away from Walford, her former husband and her daughters.

And if Cindy was to find out, she could be tempted to give her relationship with George another chance.

What if she turned on Ian altogether after finding out how far he was willing to go to keep her to himself?

2. Murderer's fate is sealed

If such was the case, Ian wouldn't be the only one to face Cindy's wrath as his son Bobby Beale (Clay Milner Russell) has a lot of explaining to do for the death of Lucy Beale.

This week, Bobby's unresolved guilt comes back to haunt him as he frets to Ian that Cindy and his love interest Anna Knight will hate him for Lucy's murder and rushes home to No.45.

Bobby has recently taken a liking to George Knight's daughter Anna while he was completely unaware she was the daughter of Cindy Beale aka Rose Knight.

In later scenes, Bobby tries to speak with Anna but she explains that it would be better for them to simply stay friends given the circumstances.

Speaking about her return to The Daily Star, Michelle Collins teased a brutal revenge for Bobby Beale as his complicated relationship with Cindy takes centre stage.

"I can’t tell you too much, but I must say I’m so lucky with my family", the soap legend said.

"I’ve got Peter, who’s played by Tom, and Bobby, who is played by Clay and they are just brilliant, I’m so lucky."

"It’s difficult, that relationship. He did something and he paid for it, but it’s hard for Cindy to understand that", she continued.

"These are the things that we’re addressing and working through, but I have had some great scenes with Clay."

On social media, many fans have shared their theories on how Cindy could avenge her late daughter Lucy Beale – and her plans may include death.

"My prediction is that Cindy will want revenge on Bobby and start a campaign of psychological abuse on him, bringing back his mental health issues and OCD", one soap viewer speculated.

"He will attempt suicide which will bring Jane back to care for him. Then Cindy will really want to get revenge."

Another jumped in, referencing the budding romance between Bobby and Anna Knight: "Cindy isn't going to let her girls anywhere near him. Poor Bobby hasn't a clue what's coming his way.

"It will be an interesting scene to see Cindy's reaction to Bobby (who killed her eldest daughter), flirting with Anna (her youngest daughter)", another agreed.

"Whilst Bobby is still Peter's brother, they share a different mother so Cindy has no obligation to be civil to the guy who killed Lucy."

3. Huge feud reignited

Ian is shaken by Cindy's reunion with George Knight this week and, following their explosive return, he seeks solace in the launderette.

Despite his father’s feelings, Peter heads to The Vic to celebrate half-sister Anna’s birthday but it’s not long before Ian arrives looking for Cindy.

Things go from bad to worse for Ian when he bumps into Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) and Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden), who are shocked to see him.

Ian later tries to avoid the pair, but it’s not long before Phil makes it clear he wants him gone just as Sharon plucks up the courage to talk to Ian.

Sharon and Ian was once married and the blonde bombshell sought revenge when she found out he had been involved in her son Denny's death.

In a blind rage, Sharon tried to poison Ian which eventually led to him fleeing the Square in early 2021.

But with Phil roaming around Walford, Ian could be set for another feud as the pair have always struggled to get along.

Phil was once romantically involved with Ian's mother Kathy Beale but this did not improve their relationship in any way.

Could Phil and Ian go head to head?
