Sandra Oh is heading to Netflix.
The Golden Globe–winning actress is starring in The Chair, a new comedy following Ji-Yoon Kim (Oh) as she becomes the first woman of color named chair of the English Department at the prestigious Pembroke University. “Ji-Yoon is faced with a unique set of challenges as the first woman to chair the department, and as one of the few staff members of color at the university,” the Netflix synopsis teases.

A Lot Like Love star Amanda Peet gets behind the camera and takes the lead as executive producer, writer, and showrunner of The Chair.
Joining Peet as executive producers are Oh, David Benioff and D.B. Weiss (creators of Game of Thrones), Bernie Caulfield (Game of Thrones), and Daniel Gray Longino (Pen15).
Also writing are Annie Julia Wyman, Richard E. Robbins, Jennifer Kim, and Andrea Troyer (Hysteria).
Longino is directing all six episodes.
