UK viewers can watch Sweetbitter season two on Starzplay via Amazon Prime.

The streaming platform is an add-on to the Amazon package but viewers can try it for free for seven days.

The episodes will air weekly on the platform on Sundays until the season finale on August 5.

The series sees Ella Purnell star as Tess, a young woman who finds work at a downtown restaurant after moving to New York City.

Purnell is known for her role in BBC show Ordeal by Innocence and will next appear in Belgravia as Lady Maria Grey.

Tom Sturridge also stars in the show as Jake and Catlin FitzGerald stars as Simone.

Sweetbitter is based on the novel by Stephanie Danler of the same name.

When she arrived in New York City, Tess soon finds herself thrust into a world of drugs and partying in the Big Apple.

The second series of the show picks up on the wide-eyed heroine and will reveal more about her backstory.

In an interview with Digital Spy, Purnell said about the second season: “In season one, life happens to Tess and in season two, she’s finally found her position.

“She has the job security, but instead of plateauing at a level of comfort and security she needs to keep pushing herself.”

A trailer for the new season shows Tess as she begins to throw her all into acclimating to the big city life.

She says in the trailer: “I’m drawn towards something irrational.

“I moved here to push myself, I like how it feels.”

Viewers also catch a glimpse as a potential romance growing with Sturridge’s character Jake.

Sweetbitter is currently airing on Starzplay on Sundays.
