Kelvin Fletcher burst onto our screens as Emmerdale's Andy Sugden in 1996, bright eyed, bushy tailed and ready to take the Dales by storm.

He held the role for 20 years and was involved in some of Emmerdale's biggest plot lines, but announced he was leaving the Dales in 2016 after a solid two decade run.

He went on to compete in Strictly Come Dancing back in 2019, reaching the final with his partner Oti Mabuse and helped her become the only professional dancer to lift the Glitterball trophy for two consecutive years.

He has also starred in new drama series The Teacher with Sheridan Smith, released this year.

Recently, Kelvin has been back in the limelight after he bought a 120 acre farm in the Peak District and began filming for his new show, Kelvin’s Big Farming Adventure.

He lives on the farm with his wife Liz and their two children, with two more on the way as they announced in January that they are expecting twins.

The Fletcher family also tend to an array of farm animals, including pigs, lambs, cows, sheep and even some alpacas.

The show was a huge hit and showcased the ups and downs of their life in their new setting.

The Manchester-born actor seems to have taken a leaf out of his Emmerdale character’s book, opting for a familiar farm setting away from the hustle and bustle of big city life.

Storm Franklin recently ravaged through the UK and the Fletcher family felt its full force.

The power cut at their Peak District farm for three hours which left Kelvin, his pregnant wife and two children stuck in a car whilst the storm subsided.

He shared the experience with his 449,000 followers: “We rushed home to try and catch the last episode of Kelvin’s Big Farming Adventure, but we’ve had a power cut, so we can’t even get home.”

“We are literally sat on the drive in the car,” he informed his fans.

His extensive and varied career has allowed him to also focus on a motorsporting career and has raced in the British Touring Car and British GT championships.

Fletcher’s net worth is estimated to be around £3.7 million, with fans speculating that their new farm may have cost upwards of £2 million.

The former Emmerdale star also owns a Lamborghini Huracan, a £180,000 luxury sports car that he was spotted driving last year.
