STRICTLY Come Dancing judge Bruno Tonioli has hinted that Michelle Visage might already be his favourite celebrity contestant.

RuPaul's Drag Race star Michelle, 50, was yesterday revealed as the ninth famous face to sign up to this year's series, which kicks off in September.

And it seems Bruno is already championing her.

Taking to Twitter after the announcement was made, the Italian Strictly judge posted emojis of a rocket and a red love-heart.

Alongside them, he wrote: "Congratulations."

Bruno, 63, is yet to pass comment on any other of this year's celebrity dancers, aside from retweeting Strictly's announcements that Corrie's Catherine Tyldesley, BBC sports presenter Mike Bushell and YouTuber Saffron Barker had joined the lineup.

Bruno also liked a tweet from a fan, who replied to his post about Michelle with: "Bruno I’m so excited.

"Michelle is one of my idols and I cannot wait to see her dance. Omg I can’t wait for Strictly to start this year."

Strictly bosses have been gradually revealing this year's lineup over the past week.

So far, along with Michelle, Catherine, Mike and Saffron, they have confirmed comedian Chris Ramsey, former England footballer David James and EastEnders actress Emma Barton.

On Monday's episode of Loose Women, Made In Chelsea star Jamie Laing also announced he is among this year's contestants.

Radio 1 DJ Dev Griffin is also taking part, along with Viscountess Emma Weymouth, Paralympian Will Bayley and CBBC presenter Karim Zeroual.

Meanwhile, The Sun has exclusively revealed that Olympic rower James Cracknell, former England and Arsenal defender Alex Scott and TV legend Anneka Rice will complete the lineup.
