Strictly Come Dancing star David James was spotted having an intimate moment with partner Nadiya Bychkova this week, reigniting rumours that the curse has struck again.

The former footballer is currently in a relationship with girlfriend Amanda Salmon while Nadiya is engaged to Slovenian football player Matija Skarabot, with whom she has a three-year-old daughter Mila.

While the two Strictly dancers are obviously in committed relationships, David was spotted cuddling and kissing Nadiya on her head in the background of an Instagram video posted by pro dancer and choreographer Aljaz Skorjanec.

The video showed Aljax, 29, talking to BBC Breakfast presenter Mike Bushell as they prepared to return to the show on this weekend's final.

Stood behind them was Nadiya, who could be seen gently leaning back against David's chest as his arms wrapped around her protectively.

Nadiya had her eyes closed as she held onto his arms while David craned his neck to plant a kiss on the Ukrainian beauty's head.

The video saw the two swaying from side to side as they shared the not-so-private moment, unaware that they were being filmed on camera.

Nadiya previously posted a picture of herself with David on Instagram when they attended the Pride of Britain awards back in October.

The photo showed the two glammed up as Nadiya donned a skintight black velvet dress with revealing strips of mesh, while David wore a classy blue suit.

Posing together in the snap, Nadiya captioned it: "What a special night @prideofbritain So emotional and inspiring". [sic]

While fans thought two looked lovely in their outfits, many mistook them for a couple as one person wrote: "are you dating.hehe". [sic]

Another commented: "If the rumours are true good luck to you @nadiyabychkova he is a gentle giant".

While a third said: "Stunning couple," followed by a pink heart emoji.

David and Nadiya allowed things to heat up between them as they were reportedly caught holding hands as they headed for dinner at the awards event.

An eye-witness told the Mirror Online: "David and Nadiya looked very cosy inside the awards. They held each other's hands away from the cameras, and kept smiling at each other.

"They wouldn't even let go to walk down the stairs into the dinner room. Perhaps she needed his support while wearing that black dress, but David looked more than happy to be so close to her."

This comes as Good Morning Britain presenter Susanna Reid recently used her weekly Daily Mail column to warn this year’s finalists, telling them to enjoy it while it lasts because they’ll be in for a shock when the Glitterball Trophy hits someone’s mantelpiece and the sequinned spandex gets put into storage.

“A warning to all… Sunday is quite the hangover but, by Monday, you’ll wonder where all the stardust has gone,” she wrote.

The broadcaster appeared on Strictly herself back in 2013, reaching the final and only narrowly missing out on winning the competition. So she knows what she’s talking about.

“Making it to the final of Strictly is the most surreal experience. For Emma, Karim and Kelvin, this will be an emotionally overloaded week,” she went on, preparing the trio for what’s to come.

“Every moment of the last week feels heavy. While competitive nerves fizz through their bodies, it’s a long week of goodbyes. After the last performance, the dresses will go back into the Strictly wardrobe to be refashioned for future dancers.”
