Graham Norton addresses Strictly Come Dancing stint

The Strictly Come Dancing 2023 line-up will officially be revealed in due course, but several celebrities are rumoured to be taking part in the ballroom dancing competition.

Express.co.uk takes a look at who is rumoured to be taking part this year.

Nigel Harman

Former EastEnders actor Nigel Harman is reportedly in the line-up for this year’s show.

He’s best known for playing Sharon Watts’ (played by Letitia Dean) partner Dennis Rickman on the BBC soap between 2003 and 2005.

It was all a bit complicated as Dennis was revealed to be the long-lost son of her adopted father Den Watts (Leslie Grantham) who was better known as Dirty Den.

Nigel has kept a fairly low profile in recent years, so could Strictly Come Dancing put him back on the map?

Jill Scott

Lioness Jill Scott won the hearts of the nation when she was crowned Queen of the Jungle last year on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

The 36-year-old became a household name after the England Women’s team won the Women’s Euro 2022 final.

Will she be swapping the football field for the ballroom dance floor later this year with a professional dancer?

Adam Thomas

Emmerdale actor Adam Thomas is believed to be part of the Strictly Come Dancing line-up, according to The Sun.

The soap star also starred on Waterloo Road and was on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here back in 2016.

A source told the publication: “After two decades on screen and, as one of the Thomas brothers, he instantly brings a huge fanbase. That’s what Strictly bosses love.”

Zara McDermott

Former Love Island star Zara McDermott could make history as the first-ever islander to appear on Strictly Come Dancing.

The 26-year-old has made documentaries for the BBC in recent years about eating disorders and has a huge following on social media, often sharing updates with her Made In Chelsea beau Sam Thompson.

A Strictly inside told Mail Online: “Zara is the perfect signing for Strictly, not only is she beautiful and glamorous but she is hardworking and will take being on the show very seriously.”

Ade Adepitan

The 50-year-old presenter and former wheelchair basketball player could also be part of this year’s line-up, it is understood.

According to Radio Times, Strictly Come Dancing bosses were planning to cast a wheelchair user.

Ade has been presenting shows for decades and his signing is bound to be welcomed by BBC viewers.

Rylan Clark

Rylan Clark, 34, is a huge fan of Strictly Come Dancing, having hosted the show It Takes Two in recent years alongside former professional dancer Janette Manrara.

However, having recently stepped down from the show and been replaced by Fleur East, fans have been speculating he could be freeing himself up to take part in the main show.

Rylan, from Essex, rose to fame by taking part in The X-Factor back in 2012 and he finished in fifth place.

Bobby Brazier

Son of the late reality star Jade Goody and Jeff Brazier, Bobby Brazier made his television debut last year in EastEnders.

He portrays Freddie Slater in the BBC One serial drama, so could he go on to win Strictly like fellow EastEnders star Rose Ayling-Ellis?

A source told The Sun: “Bobby is the dream signing for Strictly – he’s a young heartthrob who comes with a huge fanbase.

“He also has a very personal backstory and there’s so much love out there for Jade.”

Strictly Come Dancing will return to BBC One this autumn on a date yet to be announced.
