Each week on the Strictly Come Dancing results show, viewers have seen Chris and Karen both elated and shocked to find they’ve progressed to the next week. Chris has been on quite the journey on the BBC show and is slowly working his way up the leaderboard. Now professional Ian Waite has waded in on how he has avoided the dance-off.
Ian joined Zoe Ball on It Takes Two this evening to reflect on each celebrities progress this week.
After moving through the couples, they looked at training footage from Chris and Karen.
Zoe began: “Chris and Karen, an Oliver Twist inspired Foxtrot. I know you’re a big fan of Chris, how is it looking?”
“I am a big fan of Chris,” Ian replied.

“But I’m finding it hard to critique this because there isn’t very much Foxtrot in it as you can see.
“He looks like he is riding a horse there.”
Ian went on: “But what I do like there is the synchronisation and everything they do they look like they’re having a ball.
“That’s probably why everyone is voting for them because he’s loving it.”
Zoe added: “Bit of a gem, bit of a gem.”
Concluding the segment, Zoe asked: “Okay so who gets your star of the week?”
Ian chose Kelvin Fletcher as he liked his frame as he prepared for his American Smooth (Viennese Waltz) with partner Oti Mabuse.
Viewers have been warned in the past, it is down to them who ends up in the bottom two.
